Student Identification

Every incoming Erasmus+ student must have the following ID’s when becoming a student at ELTE University. These documents need to be requested in the following order, so please make sure to follow this step-by-step guide:

ID type

What is it?

How to get it?

1

NEPTUN ID password

This ID is to use our study system (NEPTUN), to manage courses and exams. An ID is provided after registration (sent to each student individually) but students have to request a password by themselves.

Please follow the guide HERE to be able to create your new password.

2

ELTE email address

An ELTE email address is necessary for every incoming student to have in case of any online classes or activities to be carried out on the Microsoft Teams platform.

In the following GUIDE you can see step-by-step how you can request your own email address. The platform now has an English option, so after log in you can switch the language to easier understanding.

3

Student ID

Student cards, or student certificates (for short term mobility students) are provided by the university’s Quaestura Office (the university’s main Student Affairs and Registrar Office). This is to use public transport etc on a student price.

This should be done after arrival on the first week of the education period!

After you gained access to our Quaestura Office (followed by your password request above), you are able to request your card in person. Please log in to Quaestura page, you can request your timeslot HERE.
