On April 17, 2026, our department hosted the ninth edition of the conference titled “Robotics and Coding for Young Children,” which once again drew significant interest this year. In addition to practicing teachers and preschool educators, 25 students from the Veszprém Vocational Training Center’s Industrial Technical School also attended the event, attentively following the exciting and inspiring presentations.

In the plenary session, Dr. András Lénárd presented “The CodeWeek Junior Cup Competition,” highlighting the importance and relevance of developing robotics and algorithmic thinking, with a special focus on introducing the first-ever CodeWeek Junior Cup. Following this, Dr. Attila Főző and Zsolt Jánossy, CodeWeek ambassadors, presented the domestic and international results of the program series as well as future opportunities in their presentation titled “CodeWeek – Focus on Digital Competence.” The plenary presentations were concluded by Gábor Herczog, Managing Director of Stiefel Kft., who, in his presentation titled “Robotics in Preschools and Schools – A Presentation of Stiefel’s Offerings,” showcased the latest technological solutions and robotic tools that can be seamlessly integrated into the educational process.

Throughout the event, our exhibitors—Stiefel Kft., Víghvári Rendszerház, and Curiocity—provided participants with the opportunity to try out the latest floor robots and tools designed to develop algorithmic thinking. The professional program continued in two sessions, where practicing teachers shared their experiences, results, and best practices. The presentations covered topics such as project-based initiatives, experience-based math skill development, and the possibilities of differentiated instruction.

The conference concluded with the ceremonial announcement of the CodeWeek Cup results and the highly successful raffle drawing organized by Stiefel Kft.
