This semester, second-year pre-school education students completed the Health Education seminar as part of a block course; as part of this seminar, they participated in the “Belevalók” program on childhood diabetes on September 16, 2026.

The “Egy csepp figyelem” Foundation’s presentation, rich in both theoretical and practical knowledge, greatly contributes to helping future teachers better understand and accept children with diabetes. The students first attended a professional lecture on the types, diagnosis, and treatment of diabetes, and then had the opportunity to apply and deepen their knowledge in practice while working in three small groups.

During the hands-on workshop, every participant had the opportunity to practice measuring blood glucose levels, learn about modern insulin delivery devices and their proper use, and finally, gain insight into the daily work of dietitians and the basics of carbohydrate counting. This comprehensive training plays a crucial role in ensuring that our students will confidently and professionally accept, care for, and support children with diabetes in pre-school settings as part of their future work.
