ELTEfeszt 2026 welcomed high school students to the ELTE Trefort Garden on October 16. At the university’s large-scale career orientation event, interested students had the opportunity to learn about ELTE’s degree programs, admission options, and campus life through lectures, sample classes, and interactive activities.
The programs offered by the Faculty of Primary and Pre-School Education provided insight into the faculty’s diverse range of programs, primarily for those interested in a career in education or in the upbringing and education of children.
During the faculty presentations, András Lénárd and Ádám Pölcz described the daily lives of teachers and the multifaceted nature of school work. Following this, Barnabás T. Bánó, Ádám Pölcz, and Dr. Cintia Horváth provided information about the singing and music, speech, and physical aptitude exams.
Those interested in a career as a preschool educator were treated to an interactive career orientation presentation by Zsófia Böddi and Dr. Veronika Pirka Aggné, which highlighted new dimensions of play, skill development, and storytelling.
To conclude the program, Dr. Éva Benkő Trentinné and Teréz Radvai presented TÓK’s foreign language, ethnic minority, and English-language programs, as well as the opportunity to earn an international double degree in the infant and early childhood education program.
As for Dr. Gabriella Pataky’s lecture, it was open to those who feel they have a talent and a calling for arts education and would therefore choose the visual culture teacher track as one of the specializations within the integrated teacher training program.
Overall, the TÓK programs—ranging from elementary and preschool teacher training to aptitude exams, as well as ethnic minority, foreign language, and international training opportunities—provided prospective students with a comprehensive overview of the faculty’s offerings.
