International Food Festival and more!

On October 25., 2023 our Erasmus and KIDE students participated in the program of the Intercultural Communication course, organized and led by Éva Trentinné Benkő.
At the event the participants got to know each other’s traditional and typical foods and customs.
HÖK (Student Union) representatives, Milán Takaró, László Tóth and Anna Tisza briefly presented the -so called- „Erasmus buddy system”. Then they made a good atmosphere with a short fun quiz related to Hungarian culture.

Then came the much-awaited International Food Festival, where everyone presented the food they had brought and prepared before the tasting. In the rest of the program, the participants were able to learn about the origin of Halloween and the authentic traditions and games connected to it with the help of Mr Conor Keane. In the original Irish bishop's bread, they also found the ring of foretelling the next year's marriage. At the end of the program, linked to the theme of delicacies and festive folk customs, the well-known Trick or Treat could not be missed either, so the participants could leave the event with small Hungarian chocolates in the shape of a pumpkin.
