The cognitive and affective impact of the digital environment and web 2.0 applications

The digital environment, which has become dominant in recent years, covers almost the entire range of everyday activities, including many areas of information retrieval, learning, entertainment and social behavior. The aim of the research is to review how cognitive and emotional processing and social behavior change in this environment among younger age groups using digital devices and web 2 applications.

Opportunities for developing thinking skills in childhood

The aim of the research is to map opportunities that can increase children’s performance in tasks that require problem-solving skills and abstract thinking. In addition to fact-centered knowledge, the main task of education is to help the development of general, independent, and creative thinking, as well as reflective skills, which are able to adapt flexibly to changing situations. The research-related conference series (since 2016) involves several disciplines in research.

Intercultural Early Childhood Education and Care: Curriculum Design for Professionals

The overall objectives are to contribute to the improvement of the social inclusion of disadvantaged children, to prevent and reduce the Early School Leaving (ESL), to improve the high quality and inclusivity of Early Childhood Education providers, and the knowledge and competences of the educational workers.
