Short description of the project:
The overall objectives are to contribute to the improvement of the social inclusion of disadvantaged children, to prevent and reduce the Early School Leaving (ESL), to improve the high quality and inclusivity of Early Childhood Education providers and the knowledge and competences of the educational workers. Reducing Early Leaving from Education and Training is an essential objective of the Europe 2020 Strategy, and EU Member States have committed to reduce the proportion of early leavers to less than 10 % by 2020.

Nursery Day 2021
The first crèche in Hungary was opened on April 21, 1852 in Budapest, and the anniversary of this famous event has been a state-recognized holiday since 2010. On April 21, 2021, the educators of ELTE TÓK celebrated the educators of young children with lectures. On 31 March 2021, in the framework of the Erasmus + KA2 Strategic Partnerships - "I.ECEC - Intercultural Early Childhood Education and Care: Curriculum Design for Professionals" project (2018-1-HU01-KA201-047763), ELTE TÓK teachers organized a focus group discussion for them. to the educators of young children who took part in the joint work from the Józsefváros United Nurseries. The Józsefváros Nursery continued the Erasmus + KA2 Strategic Partnerships - Workshop project "I.ECEC - Intercultural Early Childhood Education and Care: Curriculum Design for Professionals". Toddlers listened to plenary presentations and participated in interactive group assignments.

intellectual achievements - the intercultural curriculum and educational model; double degree testing of the joint degree program with the Józsefváros Joint Nursery. The teachers of ELTE TÓK - Sarolta Darvay, Angéla Bajzáth, Anna Bereczki, Miklós Lehmann. The work continues in groups until the May reports, the evaluation phase.
The Erasmus+ KA2 Strategic Partnerships - "I.ECEC - Intercultural Early Childhood Education and Care: Curriculum Design for Professionals" project contributes to fix and broaden quality services, develop the knowledge and competency of early childhood educators while putting the emphasis onchildren with disadvantaged background and on the fight against exclusion. The partners of ELTE TÓK are: Galileo Progetti Nonprofit Kft. – Hungary, Universitá di Firenze – Italy, Erasmus Hogeschool – Belgium, Arca Cooperative Sociale – Italy, Józsefvárosi Egyesített Bölcsődék – Hungary.
In Januray 2020, the test phase of Intellectual Output results - curriculum design and double degree - has started with the involvement of ’Józsefvárosi Egyesített Bölcsődék’. Together with colleagues from ELTE TÓK – Sarolta Darvay, Angéla Bajzáth, Anna Bereczki and Miklós Lehmann – within a 2x3 day workshop, they presented their four part educational modul to early childhood educators that they built around theory and practice. The work continues in groups. until the project reports in May.

Teachers of our faculty gave a lecture at the I.ECEC - Intercultural Early Child Conference on Teaching for Reading - Reading for Education: Scenes, Opportunities, Challenges and Challenges of Reading for Teaching, organized by the Machinery and Automatization Technical Faculty of the University “János Neumann”of Kecskemét: Curriculum Design for Professionals project results. Lecture by Angéla Bajzáth, Anna Bereczkiné Záluszki, Sarolta Darvay: Strengthening the relationship of early childhood educators with the family in the light of the results of an international project.

On November 14, 2019, TÓK presented the results of the Erasmus + KA2 Strategic Partnerships - "I.ECEC - Intercultural Early Childhood Education and Care: Curriculum Design for Professionals" (2018-1-HU01-KA201-047763) in the poster section on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the launch of the Bachelor's Degree Program in Early Childhood Education, the Past - Present - Future Jubilee Conference. During the meeting held at the Károly Eszterházy University, lectures were given on the start of the bachelor's program, the fields of education and the experience of 10 years. The poster created by Angéla Bajzáth, Sarolta Darvay, Anna Bereczki and Miklós Lehmann. The professors of faculty TÓK summarized the project history, research objectives, key issues, and research methodology under the title "Intercultural Early Childhood Education and Care Expert Development".

Preparation of the training phase of the project "I.ECEC - Intercultural Early Childhood Education and Care: Curriculum Design for Professionals" (2018-1-HU01-KA201-047763) with the participation of ELTE TÓK and JEB staff in the Safe Start Children's Home of Józsefváros (1083 Budapest, Szigetvári u. 1. T: 06-1-210-9188) budapest.jozsefvaros@biztoskezdet.eu “The Safe Beginning Children's House provides children with skills development, health assessment and development. Parents' participation with the child in the activities, programs aimed at improving the personality and competence of the parents, and other preventive programs and community events. It provides also advice to parents by nurse, medical, dietitian, and other outside invited professionals to meet local needs, and organizes parent group discussions and provides counseling opportunities. It helps parents use different methods to get feedback on how they communicate with their child and how they are educated. ”
