Exams

In our faculty courses finish with two types of exams depending on its content:

  1. Finishes with practical mark: in this case students receive their evaluation/mark for the work they have done during the semester and for the paper or presentation they must present to their lecturer.
  2. Finishes with colloquium: in this case students will have to attend exams during the exam period in a chosen time.

How to sign up for exams in the exam period?

First and foremost, the exam period usually lasts from mid-December until the end of January, or in case of spring semester, from mid-May until the very beginning of July.

Registration must be done in the Neptun system, the relevant platform opens around the very early days of December or May.

The platform is very easy to use with multiple dates for students to choose from. It is wise to choose the earlier dates first, giving time to re-do the exam to receive a better grade or in case the first exam failed.

Signing up step-by-step:

  1. Please login to your Neptun platform, go to EXAMS / Exam registration.
  2. Choose the term, then you can list your courses and see if there is a date available. Please note that each course has several options to choose from, therefore choose the one most suitable for you. And remember, if you fail an exam, you have a chance to do it again by registering for the next available option.
  3. Click on the + sign at the end of the line of the selected subject then choose ‘Register’.
  4. You can check all your taken exams in EXAMS/Taken exams.

NOTE: If you do not see dates for a subject, that means that you won’t have an exam, you will finish with a practical mark.

Location of exams:

Written and oral exams are usually done in face-to-face in the faculty building. In case of any cause that is out of our control, exams will be moved online to our Microsoft Teams platform.

Please make sure to be always present, not showing up means a failed exam.

Finishing the semester:

After each completed paper/presentation/exam lecturers will put the received marks in Neptun. You can check all your marks by clicking STUDIES/Gradebook.

Once all your results are available in the system the Transcript of Records will be issued. This gathers all your completed courses, marks and ETCS, and, in case of placement, your evaluation.
